Sculpture of the Month - Here I Come !

Cristiano likes nothing more than seeing the snow fall... all night! That means, next morning, bright and early, he gobbles down his warm porridge with lashings of maple syrup, puts on his lucky woollen hat and off he rushes.
His life long passion of cross country skiing has never diminished, in fact, it has intensified. He dreams of running "Cristiano's Cross Country Ski Academy", his uniforms will be pink and baby blue, they will be free wifi in the chalet and and his logo will be an Otter, Cristiano thinks otters are adorable and need more respect.
So if you hear a voice, in the far distance, calling out "Here I come!", that will be Cristiano, he is in heaven.

Painting of the Month - Man Eating Sharks

Monty loves the water.

He is a member of the Newquay Volunteer Life Guard Association, he adores Ester Williams and he collects vintage bathing caps.
Yes siree, he is addicted to all things wet!
He is also a pescatarian, he has tried it all... His does not have a preference to how his fish and shellfish is prepared for him - raw, grilled, pan fried, deep fried, sauteed, poached, roasted, BBQ'ed, even microwaved, he just loves seafood.

So when you think of Man Eating Sharks, do not think of the large beautiful fish, but think of Monty, and his veracious appetite.

Parkruns are the best!

Fowey is such a friendly place, that we often find ourselves socialising most nights of the week. Dino feared all this hobnobbing could affect his waistline and he would not cut such a fine figure in his speedos this summer. We needed to burn off all those excess calories... Parkrun was the answer.
Most Saturday mornings, regardless of the weather, we drive out to the most beautiful of settings, the Lanhydrock Estate and run our local Parkrun. It is a 5 km run, that is held all over the UK, at 9am, sharp!
We are lucky enough to run through the spectacular grounds of the national trust house, it is a magnificent late Victorian country home, with over 890 acres of wooded land.
We also just happen to have, the BESTEST Parkrun Team EVER! The organizers are ALL so chirpy and happy and positive, and just a delight to be around.
There is my Dino, on the far left, speeding for speedos!
Once you start running each Saturday, you cannot stop. We are always keen to better our time, from the previous week, it is quite difficult, however when a PB is attained (that is, a Personal Best for all you novices ) you feel just so "special" for rest of the weekend.
Maybe we will see you there.

All good things must end
